So Shoal: Strengthening businesses with like-minded people

Networking Club: 12pm - 2.30pm, 30th April 2010 @ The Three Graces (formally Bar 44), Leamington Spa

Another successful So Shoal event gave local businesses the opportunity to join a club to share and discuss ways to strengthen their businesses with like-minded people, whilst building their network with strong business contacts on their doorstep. This series of networking clubs is aimed at managing directors, HR managers and marketers from the Midlands.

In our current economic climate, businesses are always exploring ways of being agile and adaptable to new challenges that face their business. This event was the perfect opportunity to help people understand the inner workings of business matters such as tax or how employees can maximise their potential for an advantage over their competitors. It proved to be a great way to be involved in an interactive workshop over lunch while making new contacts.

The speakers were:

Sarah Clifford from Pentlands, a business and tax advisory company, who gave attendees great tips on getting through the post recession climate and how to recession proof their businesses.

Rebecca Richardson from Peak Performance Partnership, a people development company, secondly, gave advice to encourage and enable employees to continue with their personal development to help shape the future of their businesses. Team work and personality profiling were emphasised for staff retention and in order to maximise staff performance.
