Networking Club: 12pm - 2.30pm, 5th March 2010 @ Bar 44, Leamington Spa
So Shoal was created to give local businesses the opportunity to join a club to share and discuss ways to strengthen their businesses with like-minded people, whilst building your network with strong business contacts on your doorstep. The networking club is aimed at managing directors, HR managers and marketers from the Midlands.
Daily we are talking to a vast array of businesses from the one man band to blue chip clients, and right now due to the economic climate conversations invariably turn to the subject of staff.
“My staff are struggling to be motivated”
“We’ve been forced to make some changes that have hit morale hard”
“We’re down to a core team and are really having to push everyone”
Any of that sound familiar? We hoped this event would help people maximise the potential of their employees as well as making new contacts.
Clare Haynes from Wildfire, a talent management company, was the guest speaker at the first event to give practical business advice to help maximise the potential of employees along with giving you the opportunity to get involved in a workshop over lunch.
Testimonials
“An excellent event. I particularly liked the way the guest speaker slot made some fun with networking too”
Rob Simpson, Managing Director, Simpson Financial Services.
I thoroughly enjoyed the opening of 'So Shoal'. There was a friendly atmosphere and people mixed well. It was well organised and I look forward to the next one!
Georgina Mellor, Account Manager, Expo Events.
The first So Shoal event definitely was an event I wanted to attend, it was the coming together of local creative businesses and associated organisations, not only to network but share and discuss business issues. The fusion and collective was a great mix.
Big Fish held a great first event, I'm certain as the ripples turn into waves, the event should go from strength to strength creating further prospects and opportunities and all important networks.
Salim Bhayat, Director, Astwood Design Consultancy.
So Shoal's first networking event in Leamington Spa was a lively and entertaining experience. The attendees were from a cross section of businesses in the local community and the format enabled plenty of time to chat and circulate.
The guest speaker provoked some good discussions within smaller breakout groups so we could get to know each member a little better and gain an insight into their working lives. I am very much looking forward to the next event and congratulations to Big Fish for a well organised event and their warm welcome!
